Alright stitchers, put down your laying tools because it’s time for your favorite kind of news.
Here’s what’s trending
LNS owners and stitchers are predicting bigger canvases are going to be more and more popular. After finishing every mini canvas in sight, beginner stitchers are ready for a new challenge. Besides, they’re a better investment. Even though they cost more, they also take more time to stitch. That’s just simple needlepoint math.

Scarves are another growing trend, and they’re for more than just a statement around your neck. Anne Fisher introduced the cutest handles for your needlepoint bag – they’re chain woven with brightly-colored scarves. The Minted Monogram dropped their take on the trend, using scarves as a chic lanyard to hold your needlepoint tools.

Stitchers are also being charmed by charms. Knotty Needlepoint launched a “charm bar” where stitchers can purchase a chain and mini canvases to be finished as “charms.” More designers are releasing minis that would be a perfect fit to give this trend a try on your own needlepoint bag.
Everyone has gone absolutely crazy for the bag that looks like a Birkin had a baby with a Boat’n’Tote. The Minted Monogram has their heritage bag. BeXarneedleworks dropped a bexarkin bag. Le Stitch studio has a cowboy cabana tote. And August Design has a mini version of the bag to be used as a bag charm. These bags might not be as expensive as a Birkin, but all the canvases inside them might come close.

Above all, the biggest needlepoint trend is the “analog bag.” People will really try anything to stop the doom scrolling this year. Take some inspo from Mary Poppins and find the biggest bag you can. Fill it with books, needlepoint, coloring books, puzzles. Whatever helps get you off your phone goes in the bag.
